Christmas Past. Literally.

Christmas was great!!

We didnt leave the house until almost 3pm, the boys jammies were so cute. I wouldnt have cared if they stayed in them all day long. The morning was so fun, we slept in until almost 9am. They walked out and saw the tree, they were so happy. Brad walked right past his bike, to his new C-3PO action figure carrying case full of new guys! Rees loved the bike, hopping on with a sleepy cheesy grin.

We had the best, sweetest Christmas Morning known to man. The boys did their thing with the gifts. I made Ernie cry when he opened his photo book (in 11 years I have never done this.) It was a yearbook-like thank you from the boys to their dad. Really funny and sweet. I got ‘quietly’ from Willow Tree. Its beautiful.

We ate breakfast burritos and then got a call from Bro Denny. He asked ernie if he could stop by. He knocks at the door and has these bags of marshmellows for the boys. I thought just that was sweet, they love mini marshmellows lol. But then he pulls out these guns he made for all his grandsons this year. Marshmellow guns with their names on them. Instantly I just started to cry. God is so good-He makes up the difference.

After that, we went to Ernies moms and had dinner. Lazed around, talked and drank coffee. It was so mellow.. The boys napped there, they were suffering from Christmas Burnout.

So we are just enjoying Ernie being home. We all have really bad colds. In fact this morning Ernie was like, We are taking you to the dr today. I couldnt breathe and I cant talk. Probably have bronchitis. We stayed home tonight and may not even get to go to the youth meeting, depending on the boys. Anyways, I just posted pics on flickr. Sharing our Christmas morning. Tina beat me to it though.. 🙂

ps. Ernies good friend, David from work has a blog now. Check it out on my blogroll. He is a sweet man, Im thankful for his friendship to Ernie in the pit of the corporate world. Helps to work with Believers. Check it out! -S
